CRANKWORX INNSBRUCK 2022
Crankworx Innsbruck 2022 just wrapped and the competition this year was unreal.
There were flips, whips, crashes, podiums, and everything in-between.
The fans were back, the riding was rad, and celebrations were had!
Now in its sixth year as part of the Crankworx World Tour, Innsbruck provides spectators with an entertaining line-up of action set amongst the picturesque backdrop of the Austrian Alps. Events this year included the Whip Off, Dual Slalom, Pump Track, Speed & Style, Slope Style and Downhill.
Our Mons athletes had a momentous week. After making Crankworx history in 2021, as the first ever women to complete a backflip in competition, Robin Goomes returned in style to take the podium in both Dual Speed & Style and Whip Off. These results, as well as her top 10 finish in Dual Slalom has now put her into 6th place in The Queen of Crankworx standings.
Peter Kaiser threw down some epic whips in the Whip Off finals and delivered some of the steeziest scrubs we have ever seen in the Unofficial Official Scrub Off. Kalani Muirhead and Kelsey Timpany took out a top 20 and 25 in Pro DH respectively, and led the charge at our Mons Ride Outs.
The fans were back, the riding was rad, and celebrations were had. We had a brilliant week across the competition, meeting everyone at the Mons stand and hosting a wonderful crew at our Mons Royale Ride Outs. Thanks to all the awesome spectators, Mons Crew, and wider Crankworx team who made Innsbruck 2022 one to remember!
